Thank goodness all our girls are so different because if I had four just like Lily, I'm not sure how well I would fare as a mother. Lily is VERY persistent and will ask the same questions over and over and over...usually until she gets the answer she wants to hear. This particular day, she had asked over and over to play out front because she likes to ride her bike and scooter on the sidewalk. Of course that means i have to take both babies out front with us so I can't always do this as soon as she asks. So, after what felt like the millionth time she asked, I asked her,
"Lily, how many times do we ask mommy something?"
"One time"
"Lily, how many times have you asked to go out front?"
"70 times"
The girls like to make cards for everybody they know, friends, family, Mommy, Daddy, etc. Lacy was telling me one day she was going to make a card for Mammy, Pappy, Harper, Haley, Mommy, Daddy, her friend Erin, etc. I asked her who wasn't going to get a card, she thought a minute, finger to her mouth and says, "Strangers. I will not make a card for strangers because they are people I don't know" Lacy has trouble with her "r"s so this is even cute when said without the "r" sound.
Lacy also informed Harper that she can be her best friend when she is 7. I also overheard her telling Harper who had just eaten a big dirt ball that dirt is not a healthy food. This coming from our child who dips pears in ranch dressing, puts ranch and jelly together on a biscuit and adds grapes to her peanut butter sandwich.
